Some of you may know we’ve been working on rehabilitating the eastern end of the arena, especially so Pegasus can use it for Summer Camp without disrupting other barn users. The area was low-lying, and there was a lot of water pooling and dare we say mud. A lot of work was done by Jo and Harry with working parties from Johnson High to install drains and Mike Cross has been grading with the tractor. He went over there after heavy rain to take a look and it’s good news. A concrete channel the crew installed across the gate is acting as a drain letting the water out quite quickly but retaining the sand. Everyone is pretty confident the arena will dry out a lot quicker than it used to.
