Pumpkin Carving & Chili Cookoff

A great crowd of supporters, volunteers, kids, family and friends gathered for a gorgeous fall day of activities to celebrate the first special event to be held at Wicklow for Pegasus Riding Academy Savannah. Attendees learned about involvement opportunities, plus enjoyed pumpkin carving, delicious chili, bobbing for apples, pony rides and more. Robin Jenkins and I teamed up again for this wonderful benefit party for PRA. We did not advertise the event as it was mainly an open house to introduce folks to PRA at Wicklow Farms, yet we still had over 70 people in attendance. Thank you everyone for coming out. Thank you Harry, Mike & Tom for the heavy lifting. Most importantly, thanks to everyones generosity, we were able to raise over $900.00 for Pegasus Riding Academy. That is wonderful for a first time event. Please keep up with us as the therapeutic riding develops. Just a note: Coosa, our rescue horse who lost her left eye, did an amazing job with Sarah leading. You know what…not one child noticed she was missing an eye! Children don’t see disability!!! They didn’t even notice I was talking funny with my new half of tongue! I love children! Thanks again and we can’t wait for another event!
