Our Veterans Program

Equine Valor Project, Pegasus Riding Academy Veterans Equine Therapy PTSD Program, serves Veterans here in Savannah.

Pegasus Riding Academy’s mission, through the PATH International Equine Services for Heroes, is to provide services to military personnel and veterans through Equine Activity and Therapy programs that are tailored to address specific issues faced by wounded and military personnel combating PTSD, while also providing a supportive and therapeutic environment for their families and loved ones.

With Certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health Learning our goal is to assist military veterans through therapies but additional activities such as sports and recreational riding, drill team, trail riding, camping and community outreach. Services will be through individual and group lessons which provide innovative, recreational and therapeutic activities using the horse.

“Come find new purpose and peace through horses. Their ability to know what you need and give it to you is one of the most unexpected and powerful things I have experienced since working with horses. Pegasus Riding Academy’s veteran program is a place to let down your guard, share space with fellow veterans and allow these magnificent horses help heal you from within. Come experience this and help grow the program for others to follow.”
