Lions Club & Speros Donates to PRASAV

On May 1 our Director Peggi Noon and our Chairman Mike Cross were luncheon guests of Garlana Matthews, President of Select One Network at the Lions Club of Savannah, one of the oldest in the country.

Peggi gave a presentation on the role of Therapeutic Horseback Riding in the treatment of Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and other disorders. The members present were visibly moved by the effect of the work carried out by Pegasus and responded with warm applause. Susan Speros, President and CEO of Speros, Inc. presented our Director, Peggi Noon, with a check at a lunch of the Lions Club of Savannah on 1 May. This spontaneous and generous gift will help Pegasus continue its work with children with disabilities. At the end of the meeting the Club voted a generous donation towards the work of Pegasus, for which we are extremely grateful. After announcing that Speros was going to donate, a member of the Lion’s Club made a motion that the club double the donation…this all happened so fast and within a blink of an eye, PRA had its largest donation to date! Thank you Susan Speros, founder and CEO of Savannah based technology company Speros Inc, specialists in voice and data networking. We’re extremely grateful to the team at Speros Inc. for a generous donation towards our work with children with disabilities, and to The Lions Club of Savannah!

Finally, if any Lions are reading this we’d be delighted to have you visit us when we are riding. At the time of writing you’ll find us riding on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3 to 5 but we’re preparing the horses and the arena from 2 so please drop by. You’ll find us at Wicklow Farms, 2828 Wicklow St, off Victory Drive, right behind Johnny Harris Lounge.
